In the underground levels of Palazzo Valentini, excavations that began in 2005 uncovered the remains of two large imperial-era residences and a huge temple, located next to Trajan’s Column. It is believed that the temple was dedicated by Emperor Hadrian to the deified Trajan and Plotina.
Multimedia has brought the archaeological remains back to life. You will be able to immerse yourself in ancient Rome as it was 2,000 years ago, guided by the voice of Piero Angela. Technology helps reconstruct the missing parts of ancient buildings and narrates their story, thanks to the work of Piero Angela and Paco Lanciano.
