Corpi di Carta – First Event: “Il piacere maschile” book presentation with Fabrizio Quattrini at Skyline Club Rome
A new queer literary series in Rome
Leather Club Roma, together with the Mario Mieli Homosexual Culture Circle, launches a brand-new series: “Corpi di Carta – Books and desires that talk about pleasure, sex and freedom”, curated by Why Not. A cycle of literary events placing sexuality, pleasure, and bodies at the center, with the aim of creating authentic and inclusive spaces for dialogue.
The series seeks to provide cultural tools to dismantle taboos and stereotypes, restoring dignity and complexity to desires and identities that are too often marginalized. Rome thus becomes the stage for a unique cultural project combining literature, activism, and queer culture.
First event: presentation of Male Pleasure
The journey of “Corpi di Carta” begins on Friday, September 20, 2025 at 9:00 PM with the presentation of the book “Male Pleasure” (Giunti Editore), hosted at Skyline Club.
The book tackles, with both scientific rigor and human sensitivity, a theme that is central yet often overlooked: male sexuality. Male pleasure, too often reduced to stereotypes or silence, is portrayed as a rich and multifaceted universe, made of desires, fantasies, practices, and relationships. With a sex-positive approach, the book offers new perspectives for living male sexuality consciously, freely, and without stigma.
About the author: Fabrizio Quattrini
The author, Fabrizio Quattrini, is a psychotherapist, sexologist, and president of the Italian Institute of Scientific Sexology in Rome. He is one of the most authoritative voices in Italy on sexuality, and for years has been committed to spreading a scientifically grounded, open, and inclusive culture.
Through his clinical and publishing work, Quattrini has helped dismantle entrenched prejudices, promoting a positive approach to sexuality and pleasure. His participation in “Corpi di Carta” is a unique opportunity to discuss male pleasure, relationships, and body freedom.
The event and audience dialogue
The conversation will be moderated by Davide Ferraro (Why Not – Book), who will guide the discussion interweaving literature, sexuality, and body politics. The evening will not only be a book presentation but also a true collective dialogue space, where the audience is invited to share questions and reflections.
Free admission while seats last.
About the series
Corpi di Carta is just beginning: in the coming months, the series will host more authors who explore pleasure, sex, and bodies through literature. Each event will add a new layer to a cultural journey that unites literature, politics, and desire, building a unique space within the Italian queer and fetish scene.
