A new queer literary series in Rome
Leather Club Roma, together with the Mario Mieli Homosexual Culture Circle, promotes the birth of a new series: “Corpi di Carta – Books and desires that speak of pleasure, sex and freedom”, curated by Why Not. A cycle of literary meetings that puts sexuality, pleasure and bodies at the centre, with the aim of creating authentic and inclusive spaces for discussion.
The series aims to offer cultural tools to break down taboos and stereotypes, restoring dignity and complexity to desires and identities that are too often made invisible. Rome thus becomes the stage for a proposal unique of its kind, weaving together literature, activism and queer culture.
The book: Ragazzi Chimici
The second session of the series Corpi di Carta – Books and desires that speak of pleasure, sex and freedom is dedicated to a delicate and topical subject: the relationship between sexuality and addiction.
On Saturday 27 September at 9:00 pm, Skyline Club Roma hosts the presentation of Ragazzi Chimici (Edizioni Croce) by Angela Infante and Andrea Mauri, a text that tackles the universe of chemsex with courage and clarity. Through stories, testimonies and reflections, the book explores the link between sex, substances and the search for pleasure, highlighting the emotional, relational and social dynamics that this phenomenon brings with it.
