The series
Corpi di Carta – Books and desires that speak of pleasure, sex and freedom is the series curated by Why Not and promoted by Leather Club Roma and the Mario Mieli Homosexual Culture Circle. A path that brings literature into the heart of the queer and fetish community, addressing the themes of desire and the body not only as intimate experiences but as cultural and political issues.
The book: Petricore
The fourth session is dedicated to “Petricore” (Rossini Editore), the latest novel by Matteo Zanini, which through intense and visionary writing tackles one of the most delicate issues of our time: revenge porn and forms of digital violence.
The book portrays the fragility of bonds and the destructive force of the non-consensual sharing of intimate images, investigating how the body, when it becomes a commodity or an instrument of revenge, loses its intimacy and turns into a forced spectacle.
The guests
Taking part in the discussion:
-
Matteo Zanini, author of the book;
-
Fabrizio Quattrini, psychologist, psychotherapist and president of the Italian Institute of Scientific Sexology in Rome, who will offer a clinical and cultural perspective on revenge porn and its psychological and social consequences.
The evening will be moderated by Davide Ferraro (Why Not – Book), who will guide the dialogue between literature, sexuality and new vulnerabilities.
Why take part
Revenge porn is not only a violation of privacy: it is a form of sexual and power-based violence that hits people hard, especially in the LGBTQIAPK+ community. With Petricore, Corpi di Carta opens a space to discuss digital rights, consent and the protection of bodies, using literature as a tool for awareness and denunciation.
A meeting that combines cultural reflection and activism, to remember that the fight for sexual freedom also means defending our digital spaces.
Free admission until seats run out.
