An event for anyone interested in exploring leathercraft and understanding how a wearable accessory is made.
The focus will be on the leather scene and its accessories: a meeting of craftsmanship, personal expression and fetish culture.
Designed for complete beginners and anyone who wants to understand how their own accessories are made. No previous experience is required: just an interest in discovering what goes into your gear.
Led by: Butcher Blake, Kinky Craftsman.

Codes of Belonging — A Journey Through the History of the Leather Community

Leather is its most recognisable symbol, but the history of the leather community goes beyond clothing.
It is a story of people, desires and meeting places, of shared codes and bonds built over time. A culture that has made room for different ways of experiencing and expressing sexuality, creating opportunities for recognition, freedom and belonging.
This talk traces the origins and evolution of the gay leather community: from the influence of biker imagery to the founding of the first clubs, from bars to international gatherings.
We will discuss styles, symbols and traditions, the role of social spaces, the relationship with the broader LGBTQIA+ movement and the changes the leather scene has undergone across generations.
